Physical health is a key component to the overall health of a community. Taking this into consideration, CAMI had dedicated much of its organization to the promotion and support of physical health.
With four current health projects, CAMI supports our community with various programs aimed at ensuring well-being. Providing prevention measures, tele-conferencing health information, and supporting seniors are all activities CAMI provides to the community. Taking part in projects like the McGill Retention project, which works to implement more bilingual health and social services workers in the Island health system, are also more indirect ways that CAMI works to ensure the physical health of our community. To CAMI, part of building the future of the English-speaking community of the Magdalen Islands is building and maintaining a physically healthy population.
